DUBAI – DMCC, the leading international business district driving global trade through Dubai, has partnered with Web3 marketing agency EAK Digital to launch BlockDown Dubai for the first time in the emirate.

The event will take place at DMCC’s Uptown Dubai on 26-27 January 2027, expanding the BlockDown franchise into one of the world’s most active digital asset and technology markets. The two-day gathering is expected to attract thousands of founders, investors, technology companies and institutions from across the globe.

Hosted at Uptown Dubai’s open-air The Plaza, BlockDown Dubai will bring together key stakeholders from the digital assets, decentralised technologies, artificial intelligence, Web3 gaming, venture capital and financial services sectors. Discussions at the event will focus on the growing role of blockchain infrastructure, tokenisation, digital finance, AI and gaming technologies in shaping the global economy.

Web3 industry events

The launch marks EAK Digital’s latest regional expansion following the growth of Istanbul Blockchain Week, which has become one of Türkiye’s largest Web3 industry events. Through BlockDown Dubai, the organiser aims to establish a new platform connecting technology innovators, investors and businesses at the intersection of digital transformation and global finance.

Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of DMCC, said digital assets, artificial intelligence and blockchain infrastructure are increasingly becoming central to the global economy.

He highlighted that the next stage of growth will depend on how effectively emerging technologies connect with capital, regulation and international trade. DMCC said the partnership with EAK Digital will create a platform for founders, investors and institutions as these sectors continue to develop.

Erhan Korhaliller, Founder and CEO of EAK Digital, said the company’s experience building Istanbul Blockchain Week shaped the vision behind BlockDown, combining industry engagement with business opportunities across Web3, AI, gaming and culture.

Dubai edition

The partnership reflects Dubai’s growing position as a centre for digital asset, blockchain and emerging technology companies seeking access to investment, regulation and international markets.

DMCC has developed one of the region’s largest Web3 business ecosystems, with more than 800 Web3 companies operating within its wider technology community of over 4,000 firms. These businesses form part of a broader DMCC ecosystem supporting more than 26,000 companies across trade, finance and professional services.

BlockDown Dubai’s inaugural edition is expected to welcome between 2,000 and 3,000 attendees, including representatives from blockchain protocols, digital asset companies, venture capital funds, technology firms and global brands.

The event will provide a meeting point for companies exploring the convergence of blockchain, artificial intelligence and decentralised technologies, while highlighting Dubai’s expanding role in the global digital economy.
